Overview
Purposeful Design for a Healthier Future
World Health Horizons is part of the World Health Summit and focuses on the future of global health. For the November 20, 2024, global health summit, I designed a series of three posters to support this initiative. I limited my use of typography, color, and illustrations to create purposeful design layouts. With restricted elements, I chose bold visuals with intention, thus creating posters that are simply eye-catching yet meaningful.

Approach
Modernizing for Visibility
To modernize the event’s visual identity, I approached the design with the understanding that health is a universal human experience, one that touches people of all ages and backgrounds. I chose fresh, vibrant colors to create a sense of energy and inclusivity, while selecting friendly, approachable typography to balance the seriousness of the topic with accessibility. This combination helped make the message feel more inviting and relevant, drawing in a wider audience and encouraging engagement with the event’s goals in mind.

Results & Impact
Extending Visual Identity into Everyday Life
Visibility was a key focus beyond just the poster series, I wanted the design to extend into advertising and branded applications, such as merchandise. By using bold visuals, limited but vibrant colors, and clean typography, the design becomes highly adaptable and recognizable across various formats.
The final product strikes a balance between meaningful messaging and visual appeal, making it something people can carry or wear effortlessly, without it feeling like a branded promotion.
